Guinness is the newest member of the team. He has been seconded to us from the excellent Parelli Instructor Rachael Morland. Rachael is going to work at the new Parelli centre in Stoneleigh and she has entrusted us with his care.
Guinness was bred in Ireland as a racehorse, but, for reasons we don’t understand, he never raced. He was found at a hunting yard approximately 5 years ago his future was very uncertain. He was thin and unfit and missing a large number of his bottom teeth. Recognising he was in the wrong place, he was given a great home. He responded immediately to living with a herd, having the right balance of food and exercise. He began a new life following the Parelli programme of natural horsemanship.
Guinness is the middle ground between Dixie’s sensitivity and Monty’s confidence. Guinness has a wide repertoire. When asked, he will always respond. He will try lots of things until he understands he is giving you what you want. He is flexible and very skilled.
Now 14, Guinness is sweet, gentle, loves cuddles, enjoys his work tremendously. He is skilled and well trained. There are three great loves in his life, cuddles, cuddles and more cuddles!
